Legacy Grant
The Legacy DPA Grant was created to give local families who need a little help the opportunity to own a home they otherwise couldn't obtain. There's a lot of people who have good credit, stable income and pay rent on time that would be great homeowners but just can't save the money for a down payment. That's where we come in!
In order to qualify for the grant you must qualify for a conventional mortgage. Those qualifications are:
- 620 minimum FICO score
- 2 year employment history
- Proof of funds that cover earnest money (1% of the sale price) and remaining closing costs.
- Will County resident
If you feel you meet this criteria click the link below and upload the following documents. There is also a credit report fee of $30-$60.
- 2020 & 2021 tax returns + applicable w2s/1099s
- last 30 days of paystubs
- last 2 months of bank statements showing proof of funds
- copy of your ID
- a WORD or PDF document explaining why you need the grant. Be as detailed as possible and provide as much information about you and your family. The information you share is what will help our board determine who we will award the funds to!
